Since August 2010, Roberto has represented self-insured employers, insurance companies and governmental entities in all aspects of workers' compensation law in the Salinas/Central Coast area and San Francisco Bay Area. As well as Workers’ Compensation Defense, Roberto has experience handling discrimination claims under Labor Code Section 132a and Serious and Willful Misconduct Petitions. He has presented to employers, TPAs and trade associations (California Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorneys’ Association and CAJPA) on various Workers’ Compensation topics, focusing on practical and creative approaches to bringing claims to successful resolutions. Roberto was elected to the Defense Attorneys’ Association Board of Directors in 2012, currently serving on the Executive Committee as President for 2016.
Roberto graduated from the University of Southern California in December 2005 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in News Media and Society. He graduated Santa Clara University School of Law on a Law Faculty Scholarship in 2009, and was awarded the "CALI Excellence for the Future Award" in California Civil Procedure.
During his free time, Roberto enjoys golfing, attending sporting events and traveling. Roberto also serves as an attorney coach for his former high school’s mock trial team in Fremont, CA
